This is an award that the city of Albufeira give to their artists, it's bi-anual award, and the work that won in 2018 was my painting "Distant dream".

A contest for rewarding the artists from Albufeira with prizes and an exhibition, this year was selected 15 artistas to show their work.
Biography
Guilherme was born in 1993, and is currently living and working in Algarve, Portugal. His artistic research is based of exploring different approaches to manifest a deconstruction of identity and what is the meaning of boundaries that physical reality put on us. In his work there is an intimate fantasy of exploring a world where the lack of symbolic validation would rule the narrative, try to reach something more instinctive, animal, raw. One of the main goals of his practice is to establish a relation between the dilution of identity as a way to free our spiritual presence, by spiritual what is meant is to transcend the incorporated persona that is required for society but questionable as a human depth source. One of his main concerns is mental health and his obsession is how to illustrate a process of individual reality regeneration.
