Born 1953 in Leeds   West Yorkshire  England                                                                   Entirely self taught. Painting career spans more than 40 Years .  Joined Leeds painting and sketching club mid eighties sold well in local exhibitions   exhibited at Ilkley Winter Gardens exhibitions for a number of years sold extremely well, sold well in Headrow Galleries in Leeds .  Has Paintings in Private collections in UK  USA Europe and Australia

I began painting when I was 20 years old I was looking for a direction in my life what did i want to do ? I had no idea until I walked into Leeds city Art Gallery for the first time I was in Awe at the Fantastic pieces of Artwork  this was it this is what i want to be an Artist . 

For the last 40 Years that is what i have done hopping to improve year by year. whatever the Subject I try to create Dramatic light making an ordinary Scene into something Special  My Paintings are all about capturing the light, atmosphere and essence of a subject, whether it be  Landscape  Seascape  Still Life or Figuretive ,
