About Georgi Minchev

George Minchev is an internationally known and respected sculptor known primarily for his work in the field of monumental sculpture. Over the years he has had numerous personal exhibitions and group showings of his work. Through the course of his career he has won a number of prestigious awards in countries throughout the world. His work is highly sought after by public institutions, individual collectors, and corporate entities world-wide. He is the classic master of sculpture, at ease and comfortable working with both classic and modern materials, stone, wood, metal. These days George spends a good deal of his time traveling around the world completing the many commissions which he constantly receives for his sculptural masterpieces. Though his career as a professional artist continues to ascend to new heights, George Minchev also remains a professor in the Department of Sculpture and theoretical disciplines of Veliko Turnovo University of St. St. Cyril and Methodius, where he maintains a wonderful reputation among his students as an inspiring instructor that offers them the kind of practical instruction that can only come from a truly successful artist.
