Biography
Well come to my world!
Life brought me through many challenges from which I learned to experience and use to maximum my abilities and native talent to achieve targets and fulfill my desires and dreams.
My basic profession is engineer but the most part of my activity was spent in the international trading with metals and ores. This gave me the chance to travel and see beautiful places and meet wonderful people around the world.
I was born in Transylvania – one of the most beautiful and exciting places of Romania, where among others, Charles, the Prince of Wales, owns a property and encourage more people to visit this part of the world where nature is still wild and pure.
My mother was born in USA but returned to Romania before I was born so I missed to be USA citisen. This was actually a chance for me to live here in this mirific place and whenever travelling to America I feel like at home too.
My family and my teachers advised me to always do something which can stand for ever in their memories, which remains behind me, reflects my life and character, relieve the sensitive side of me. That was the milestone where from I start painting, about 20 years ago as a self taught artist.
I am experiencing different genres: landscape, portrait, figurative, still life, etc. Yet, my favourite is landscape which opens the window to imagination and tells a story about the places I have been, places I would like to go, about the emotions I feel. Impressing the viewer with images created by means of color light and shades, releaving the beauty which artists can see hiddened behind things, similar to what a poem is doing.
It is relevant here what Simonides sais: Painting is silent poetry and poetry is painting that speaks.
But the most important is what other people are saying about my paintings. One example is this: Color saturated oil landscape – paintings, published in Empty Easel - online art magazine.
I am honored to be among the members of several sites organising online workshops where from I am learning day by day the techniques to improve my work. One of these is the famose site organised by the teacher and artist Richard Robinson:
I am grateful for being an artist having in mind all other activities I have to do while exercising my profession, for the opportunity to be known through the today advance technology of internet, for my fans following what I am doing, for the gratitude that my artworks are bought and through this my feelings are transiting the people walls entering into their life.
