Event: Sausalito Art Festival
Dates: 30 Aug 2019 - 2 Sep 2019
More than 260 award-winning artists from around the country and 30,000 patrons flock to the waterfront village of Sausalito, California, on Labor Day weekend for the annual Sausalito Art Festival. One of the oldest, most prestigious and most anticipated open-air art events in the country—the Sausalito Art Festival has set the standard for quality, variety, innovation and scope of artistry for more than 60 years.
Artists are selected by a rigorous jury process and exhibit a range of work, including painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, glass, fiber and fashion, wood, photography, mixed media and more. The Festival is considered by artists, art collectors, and art fair fans to be a must-see event, and Sausalito itself has long been regarded as one of the world’s great artist communities.
Event: From Dusk to Dawn
Dates: 27 Sep 2018 - 25 Oct 2018
“From Dusk ‘til Dawn” – The time from Sunset to Sunrise begins and ends with a transition of light … and reveals the nightscapes, with lights both naturally occurring (celestial, fire, phosphorescence) as well as human made (electric, neon, LED).
How do artists visually describe the dark of night? They may perhaps use greys and midnight blues leading into amber and burnt orange … or other evocative color combinations.
This exhibition shows how artists reveal the feeling and moods of this in-between time … when mystery and wonder hide in the shadows.
Event: Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival
Dates: 15 Sep 2018 - 16 Sep 2018
Once a year the community gathers under the redwood trees to celebrate art and the beauty that surrounds us.
Strolling through Old Mill Park among old growth redwoods we see art forms and visions we have never seen before. Our eyes and ears open to new art and ideas at every turn of the Festival - from the story tellers and puppeteers, to the main stage acts, to face painting, to the fine arts and crafts themselves.
Although the art comes from near and far, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival offers a warm, local, non-commercial experience and welcomes all ages and people.

Biography
Gail Cooper is San Francisco Bay Area interdisciplinary artist, music medium and student of the paranormal who mines photographic and filmic rifts to explore her own subtle shifts in perception from the mundane to the phenomenological. She uses abstruse, but personal, experiences to make sense of the inexplicable. Her work repurposes, in visual and aural form, the notion that there is always more than the eye can see. Using low fidelity images as reference material, she aims to show how the ways of knowing and seeing can be distorted and, instead, evoke a somatic response. She is an actor, singer, deep listener, amateur ghost hunter and an unofficial student in the field of Xenolinguistics.
