If there is one thing that unites all of Gabrielė’s work, it’s a sense of harmony and piece. Her favourite subjects are landscapes and plants, which she depicts with great love and attention to detail. The landscapes, most of which focus on the nature of the Baltic seaside, reveal the dreamy beauty of the sand dunes and meadows behind them, bathed in a soft evening light, rustled by a light breeze. Notice how the grasses sway bowing to the wind, echoing the rhythms of nature. Every stem, every leaf is an integral part of the bigger picture.  

The artist herself describes her work as “seeing and dreaming”. “Seeing and dreaming, because you never want to rely blindly on eyesight. I’d rather see, forget and then remember the vision after it has been passed through me, when it is more of an emotion than a specific image with particular details. The most important thing to me is not the exact portrayal of what I see but the sense of tranquility and ease we get in the wild nature. That’s what I want the viewer to feel,” - says the artist.
