    WHITE AND BLACK RUBENS

    WHITE AND BLACK RUBENS

A photographic journey on the trail of the Palaces of Genoa by Peter Paul Rubens, among the beauties of the noble city told by the photographer Fabio Accorà through a vortex of emotions, a whirlwind of senses that mix and overlap every time we recognize a palace, a door and we try to remember a detail, a glimpse, places that we encounter every day of our lives but that fascinate us as the first time. For this occasion, Fabio Accorrà returns to explore his Genoa, where the lights, the shadows and the different geometries are always there, almost waiting for his camera, punctual and precise in every little detail, and which in this case focuses on the buildings of the Genoese nobility. The historic city is a living reality, which enjoys a real life, and its functionality. The Town Hall, the art galleries, the luxury boutiques and the financial centers are the concrete example of how this life continues to flow within so much value. Discovering majestic buildings, half-closed doors, glimpses of courtyards never seen before and unusual details, this is Bianco/Nero Rubens.

    GENOVA, COLORI DI MARE

    GENOVA, COLORI DI MARE

GENOA, COLORS OF THE SEA curated by Giulia Cassini Natural graphic patterns, a melting pot of identities with their eyes fixed on the horizon, their hands inexhaustible with toil among the nets. Wet streets of sun, of vegetation, of continuous departures. Glimpses of lights that do not fall asleep, letters crumpled in memory, untamed silences, horizons that lie in the stillness of the evening, and rows of shimmering boats, presages of chatter and life. These are just some of the profiles of Genoa and its sea recounted by photographer and travel blogger Fabio Accorrà, whose subjects range from the natural to the man-made landscape, squeezed between buildings and technologies. The Ligurians, enclosed by the mountains, find space in the Mediterranean, a hope of wisdom that encompasses everything, that rewinds everything. Colour is its declination, from the saline blue to the warm tones of industriousness. The challenge is to pass from the arcane verticality of the Superba to a horizon that is soothing, but at the same time profound, never motionless, a witness of the past and passport to tomorrow, a line of continuity between West and East. The exhibition can be visited until 11 October and is realised in synergy with the MuMA, the Cooperativa Socio Culturale, the Consorzio nazionale servizi, the Associazione promotori Musei del Mare e della Navigazione under the patronage of the Associazione giornalisti e fotografi di viaggio Neos (Association of travel journalists and photographers).
