About Emma Sperring

  • Biography

I have always enjoyed creating from a young age but have returned to art and specifically oil painting in the last few years following the pandemic. I am especially inspired by the natural world which is at the heart of my practice; a garden or a sweeping Lake District landscape. I am rarely happier than when I am on top of a peak or beside a lake on a bright breezy day but also find inspiration in the beauty of form in small things.

I am fortunate now to live and work in Brighton, inspired by the fabulous creative talent and opportunities here. A selection of smaller still life paintings are currently available as well as larger landscape and Lake pieces. I am very happy to discuss commission ideas and visits to view work in person in my Brighton studio can be arranged.
