About Emma Sperring

I have always enjoyed creating from a young age but have returned to art and specifically oil painting in the last few years following the pandemic. I am especially inspired by the natural world which is at the heart of my practice; a garden or a sweeping Lake District landscape. I am rarely happier than when I am on top of a peak or beside a lake on a bright breezy but also find inspiration in the beauty of form in small things. 

I am fortunate now to live and work in Brighton, home of the famed Artists Open Houses festival. Surrounded and inspired by the fabulous creative talent based here.
