    Elo Wobig is a landscape painter whose passion for the natural world has been a lifelong fascination. She honed her artistic skills alongside her previous career as an emergency physician, continuing to sketch, paint murals, and work on creative projects for her community. These endeavors eventually led to commissioned artwork, reigniting her desire to become a full-time painter. Elo's love of hiking with her family inspires her to create art that captures the sweeping beauty of landscapes and the vibrancy of flora.

    Elo's dedication to her craft has earned her recognition in local and national competitions, as well as Signature member status in the American Impressionist Society. Her work has been included in the permanent collections of esteemed institutions such as the Maryhill Museum of Art and The Museum of the Oregon Territory.

    Through her art, Elo hopes to inspire others to connect with the beauty and wonder of the natural world, to find joy and meaning in their own lives, while glorifying God and His creation.

    Artist Statement

     Elo Wobig is a painter whose work is characterized by her sensitivity to color and love of drawing. Regardless of subject, she deliberately includes features so that the viewer might recognize the person, subject  or location. Most of her work depicting the Pacific NW originate outdoors, en plein air. Other landscapes from the studio are inspired by her personal records of travels and sketches in gouache.
