About Ekaterina Deryugina

  • Biography
From a young age, I was immersed in the world of museums and art exhibitions, accompanying my father in his professional artistic career. This exposure established a deep connection with art.
After many years of painting part-time, I embraced the path of a full-time artist. I find portraits inherently intriguing and always seek to communicate through them. My work focuses on evoking thoughts and emotions, using modest, easy-to-perceive colors to create visually pleasing harmony. The simplicity of shapes in my work ensures they are not overwhelming to the eye. My figurative pieces are inspired by the delicate innocence of dogs.
Most importantly, I strive for my art to convey the respect and significance of our companions in our lives by merging with their sensorial world perception.
