About Eddie Kent

  • Biography

My work tends to be non functional highly decorative and complex forms and I love pushing the boundaries of the production process. As well as my ‘one off’ concept pieces I produce a range of geometric animal forms, wishing stones, bowls, vases and pendants for a selection of galleries and craft shops.

I specialise in hand building, carving and Raku Firing which I also teach and demonstrate at events across the country but also work in stoneware.

After spending many years as a graphic designer I got the ‘ceramic’ bug and now concentrate most of my life to working with clay.

I can not profess to be college or university train instead I see myself as basically ’self taught’ and a student of the University of Life.

I have recently fulfilled a life times dream and relocated to Devon from the heart of the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire and now loving every day.
