Event: Solo Show
Dates: 25 May 2023 - 10 Jun 2023
Dominic Virtosu was born in 1983 in Bucharest, Romania. Trained in painting at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, his early works focused on themes such as the consumerism of society and the concept of physical space.
Later, his work would delve deeper into the paradox between image and painting. His style evolved, merging these two directions into a vibrant, organic blend, where color and subject are unified, producing a dynamic amplification of the image’s potential.
Dominic Virtosu exhibits his works throughout Europe while also teaching painting as a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Tourcoing. “I work within a playful ambiguity, with fictional situations and layered narratives, opening up the possibilities and contradictions of the content, but also the possibilities and contradictions of the practice itself,” he says.
While focusing primarily on painting, he often incorporates layered images and shapes into his pieces, creating unexpected dimensions.

Event: Co Existence
Dates: 14 Jan 2022 - 24 Feb 2022
The first international contemporary art exhibition "Coexistence" of Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Centre, organized by Tabularasa Transnational Art Platform, is now taking place, with participation of 20 artists from 10 different countries. The commonality of people's spiritual, intellectual, and behavioral processes forms the culture underlying the transformation of the "I" into the "we." While climate change/crime affects every living being, no other remedy can be considered other than adopting a "common world culture," that is, achieving coexistence. Art is also one of the most effective form of communication about environmental destruction. In this context, our exhibition poses the question, "Why should we coexist?"

Biography
"A Journey Through Surreal Realms"
My work is a vibrant fusion of contemporary pop culture and the limitless landscapes of the imagination. Through intricate digital collages and montages, I reconstruct the fabric of reality, weaving it into surreal dreamscapes that challenge perception and invite you to explore new dimensions of wonder. Each piece is an invitation to step beyond the ordinary, into a world where color, movement, and composition transcend the familiar and stir the soul.
I view it as my artistic duty to bring beauty to the world—beauty that is both awe-inspiring and transformative. My creations are designed to ignite a sense of amazement, to awaken the senses and provoke reflection. They are born from a deep desire to inspire and to captivate, to create moments of unexpected joy and discovery. Every detail is a carefully crafted element in a broader narrative that invites the viewer to see the world with fresh eyes, to engage with it in new, fantastical ways.
As an artist, I understand that the journey of sharing one’s work with the world is both challenging and exhilarating. It is a delicate act of vulnerability and connection. For this reason, I have chosen Artfinder as a platform—a space that supports the professional and artistic integrity of my practice while bringing my visions into the lives of those who seek to engage with them.
Let these works speak to you. Let them transform your space, and perhaps, for a fleeting moment, transform the way you see the world around you.
