About Dawn Broughton

I love nature and I love light. Where possible I try to combine the two to achieve a realistic but  painterly style. My work is also about texture and I use all sorts of things in order to get the textures I want.I paint in acrylics and usually have a few paintings on the go at once. 
I tend to paint only places I've been to myself because then it becomes personal but from time to time I paint purely from imagination and just let the colours and paint flow freely.
The thing I love most about nature is that I can never run out of ideas or inspiration because it changes all the time.
