About Daria Salakhova

Ever since I was a child, I liked to draw more than anything. I've always dreamed of being no other than an artist. Therefore, there was art school and аrt university in my life. After university I was an art school teacher. In my spare time and vacations I drew some commission paintings. But then I realized it's not my dream life. A couple years ago I left my job as an art teacher to reach my life goal to be a travelling artist. Here unites two my biggest passions - drawing and travelling. The best way to do both is plein air painting. Plein air sessions are very useful as the way of connection between artists; it also helps to increase professional level. Moreover I try to learn more by visiting workshops and master classes of more skilled artists than I am all the time. Nowadays some part of the year I draw at home, and another part devote to plein air trips. I draw landscapes and portraits the most. At this moment my works are in private collections in Russian Federation only, but surely I'm interested in worldwide sellings. I believe the Artfinder platform can help me here. I've heard from my fellow artists that it's a good and fair platform, and I look forward to becoming a part of this community.
