About Dara Volvich

  • Biography
My name is Dara Volvich. I was born into an extremely creative family in Saratov, Russia and when I was 19 repatriated to Israel. I create in my Private Studio and I have been selling my works via a variety of Social Networks such as Instagram, Facebook as well as other platforms like Etsy and SaatchiArt, also I was presented in Auction on an international Platform - BidSpirit when my artwork was sold. Over 60 of my unique creations have found their new homes in private collections in Canada, Russia, Holland, USA, and Israel. In addition, I am collaborating with architects and designers in Israel, Canada and Russia, my artwork has been involved in many projects. Over the years I have discovered different techniques. I find color though is the most powerful expression tool. I have been using oil/acrylic color layering with bold textures to create abstract paintings. My work is motivated by what is happening around me. The surrounding environment never fails to deliver food for thought and inspiration. I am concerned about humanitarian problems, especially those involving children. The most prominent motif however in my work lately, especially in the last year, is loneliness - humanity's biggest fear. My artistic journey started when I was a little girl in Saratov's Art School. My mom was a theater director and from an early age, she encouraged me to explore different mediums, taught me to express my feelings through painting, dancing, photography, sketching and others. Art and aesthetics in all its shapes and forms constantly surrounded me and greatly impacted my personality and my future. In 2013, I graduated from the Technion University, Haifa, Israel as an Interior Designer and continued my education in the Art Studio of Irit Regev for another 3 years. I was lucky to join Master Classes by Eli Shamir - one of the most famous painters in Israel. My works took place in several Group Exhibitions. Some examples are: 2020 - "The Days of Corona", Curator Orit Ramir 2020 - "ABSTRACT", Curator PhD Avivit Agam Dali 2021 - "Root of 25", Curator Ruth Sagi. 2021 - Sale of Auction On Internation Platform BidSpirit Working with Artfinder will help me share my work with a larger community as well as be a part of this supportive and collaborative platform. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my application! Sincerely, Dara
