About Danielle ARNAL

  • Biography

His painting is joyful, expresses love, confidence and balance.

Or in representational way with  portraits, by trying to establish a dialogue with the personalities, to show their real "I".

Or semi-abstract, geometric, an approach that concretizes his profound desire for balance, the delight of building perfectly mathematical compositions.

She is faqcinated by the search for the strengths which are in action beyond the visible, psychological forces that support the expression of portraits, telluric forces that shape the mountains. She seeks to make visible these hidden forces.

She paints in oil on linen after a preparatory work on the computer, which is in fact a handy sketchbook

    Two subjects of predilection:

Family portraits: There she seeks the mirror of the soul, personality, emotions, truth.

High mountain landscapes, glaciers. There, it seeks to preserve the memory of the disappearing glaciers, and to show the axes of the invisible forces which raise the mountains, which leads to semi-abstract, conceptual representations.

The common thread between these two subjects, which seem so distant, is the desire to keep a concrete, material and lasting trace, his initial training in electronics has made him aware of the fragility of long-term computer media. Fragility of photos; Fragility of digital paintings kept in the form of files. It is also why it has privileged oil painting as a medium of expression, knowing that its lifespan is more than 5 centuries; She works for the future ....!
