Biography
Art is communicating at a human level. It reminds us of what is important and has the ability to transcend boundaries. Art for me is about beauty, about capturing a fleeting moment in time, an overlooked feature of a familiar object or face.
I’ve always been drawn to the realist tradition as a powerful visual communication method. Sometimes my paintings start as a reaction to something that moved me in my surroundings, other times it starts with an idea or concept that undergoes a series of sketches, both drawings and paintings, until it develops into a final painting.
I see art as a process, a continuous search, and introspection. I hope some of my search for meaning and beauty will resonate with the viewers.
