The People’s Science is hosting a highly interactive pop-up art show and science exhibit to immerse the audience in the biases we carry with us every day. From optical illusions to the power of framing to the allure of social media, guests will see themselves and their communities from a new perspective.
The event is a collaboration between leaders, creators, and change agents across fields:
• 18 established and emerging East Coast artists, curated by local gallery owner Abigail Ogilvy, will be featured alongside cutting-edge evidence from neuroscience and psychology research.
• Local technology developer, Sonzia, will offer stunning touch screen exhibits that invite the audience to interact directly with the show.
• Physiophysicist, Dr. Choukri Mekkaoui, will showcase his award-winning method for merging fine art with the fiber tracts of the human brain.
Biography
Daniela Pasqualini is an innovative Italian painter based in the United States whose abstract works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections worldwide.
Her paintings were lately on show in Paris at the Carousell du Louvre and in the Vatican itself.
Since she was a child, Pasqualini has been expressing herself through drawing and sketching, developing a passion for the arts.
Through a sculptural and experimental approach, Daniela transform her observations of nature onto the canvas, bringing rhythm to splashes of vibrant color and creating texture through form.
Statement
“Through my artwork, I aim to encapsulate the myriad of stories and experiences from my extensive travels. My works are a vibrant fusion of nature, locations, people, and sounds all intertwined in a vivid dance of colors, textures, and lines. The artworks are three-dimensional sculptural expression of the emotions and images gathered from my journeys.
I leverage the dynamic combination of acrylic paint and gel to bring my paintings to life, giving them a tactile, sculptural quality that pops right off the canvas. Guided by my emotional state and mood, I manipulate colors and nuances to dictate the overall temperament of each finished piece.
My goal is to offer the viewer a singular and emotive journey, fostering a personal connection between the viewer's emotions and my artwork. I aspire to capture the very essence of my experiences in each painting, allowing all elements to unite harmoniously. Through this, I hope to communicate the core of my surroundings in a way that resonates deeply with the observer."
