Event: Autumn Show
Dates: 15 Oct 2017 - 25 Nov 2017
It is rare for a successful artist to paint in many different styles. The public will easily recognise a Monet, a Freud or even a Hockney. As ever it is the exception which proves the rule. So, for example, Picasso is known for multiple styles, but even he had periods where all the work being produced at any one time was stylistically similar.
The three artists opening the new show at Malvern Theatres are all recognisable instantly because they all paint in a practised and recognisable style.
Amanda Dagg is amongst the best sellers from the online gallery www.artgallery.co.uk from which all the works on show are chosen. She relishes in the freshness of nature although her work does not attempt realism in the traditional sense.
She hails from South Wales and as well as producing an amazing quantity of work, she helps run a community-led gallery in the area. She has successfully shown in the Theatre many times over the last few years.

Three female artists based in South Wales have taken over the exhibition space in Malvern Theatres for the next 7 weeks. They all derive their inspiration from the beautiful surroundings in that part of the Principality as well as further afield. What they have in common, as well as their location is superb technical skill and healthy sales record. People like to share their lives with original images of nature whether they inhabit urban or rural environments. Including Amanda Dagg, Emma Cownie and Dawn Harris
Amanda Dagg is becoming an “old favourite” in Malvern. She has sold well, whenever she has shown here before, so it was a particular pleasure to be able to sign her up to the Pre-Christmas exhibition, in the knowledge that she will help solve some people’s present problems. Her style is more decorative than the other two artists, but still rooted in her surroundings and personal experience.

"Her dreamy, highly textured works, sell well here. Her starting point is always the natural world, but it’s the decorative possibilities which excite her. Sales are so good she struggles to keep up with the demand. She has a long list of returning customers from across the World. We are lucky enough to be able to showcase her most recent work in Malvern. If you like the look of what you see, get down to the theatre soon. As they say, “When it’s gone it’s gone.”" Humph Hack (Art gallery curator)
