About Cristina Paolini

I am a self-taught painter with roots in a family of painters. Since childhood, I breathed art into every corner of my home, learning from the colors and brushstrokes around me. Not having had the opportunity to study at an art institute as a young girl, I decided to pursue my passion independently, with the help of my uncle, an esteemed professional painter. Until 2020, when, after years of office work, I decided to revolutionize my life: I quit my job to devote myself entirely to painting and enrolled in art school, where I refined my expressive language and realized a long-postponed dream. 

I prefer oil painting, through which I express my affinity for the evocative and hypnotic atmospheres of thunderstorms and misty, rain-soaked landscapes. This constant dialogue between emotions and nature represents, for me, an expression of inner peace, a source of serenity that I convey in my paintings. My goal is to capture the soul of landscapes and transport the viewer into a world suspended between reality and imagination.
