Biography
I have been working as a painter in Verona, Italy, for 20 years. I began my artistic journey by painting landscapes and other figurative genres, and over time my art has evolved towards increasingly abstract dimensions.
The inspiration for my work comes from the exploration and contemplation of the reality that surrounds me, combined with the direct approach with the pictorial materials when I am in the studio.
My works are built up in many layers, in a process of continuous interaction with what happens on the canvas, to arrive at the final composition in which everything reaches the harmonization of shapes and colors. My current research is aimed at the exploration of geometric and irregular shapes, the repetition of patterns, the discovery of new chromatic harmonies that underline the composition from an emotional point of view.
Art is where my soul expresses itself, but it is also communication with the viewer: this is why I want my work to open you up to new possibilities and the search for your own personal meaning.
For me, painting is not the simple application of techniques, but requires continuous research within myself, and reveals my path of knowledge. Since I was a child I have been surrounded by the beauty of my land, where nature and art seemed to blend together. Growing up I learned to know the centuries of history that were behind me and to recognize myself in the art that they gave us, exploring both in Italy and in Europe. And today this experience continues, expanding with stimuli from all over the world.
My art therefore lives both from the memory of the past and from the contemplation of the present, because every brushstroke cannot escape the suggestion of what has remained in my eyes and in my mind. Thus the continuous research within me finds a shape in the collective dimension that is beyond me, in the reality that belongs to everyone.
Continuous experimentation is the distinctive trait that has always guided me: from my first laboratory until today, I have never stopped growing and acquiring new skills, always remaining open to the opportunities that open up to me.
