    In the studio

    I paint with oils on canvas in my studio using brushes of all sizes, palettes and mark making tools like sponges or rags! Oil has always been my preferred media as I love the consistency I can create by adding linseed oil or thinner for more transparency.

    My paintings move around the studio. I sometimes work on the wall with them latched onto pins, or I might move one onto the easel. Sometimes I move them into doorway to see them in a different light. These two are called 'Morning in Tavira' and 'These paths I know.'

    These are messy and heavy with layers of oil paint. I love the textures and the smell of the linseed oil that I use. Sometimes people have likened these to paintings themselves!
