Biography
I was born in France and grew up in Paris where I studied Tourism and History of Art and found inspiration from so many artistic resources and galleries.
I am a self-taught Artist but has attended local classes at the University of Hertfordshire, Insight School of Art in North London and the Edinburgh Academy of Realistic Art.
The seascape and landscapes are created from a place I have visited, a photograph, a memory, a moment in time, an emotion.
The smooth painted skies usually contrast with the heavy impasto techniques of the land.
My inspiration comes from the simplicity of nature, the atmosphere of a place and the contrast between light and dark. I try to achieve a sense of calm providing an opportunity to escape the chaos of day to day life and appreciate the wonder of open spaces.
