About Chihiro Kinjo

  • Biography

I am an illustrator and a painter, based in Suffolk.

Trained as an illustrator during my university course.

My style is often figurative, depending on the subject matter. I will employ abstract forms. I use mixed mediums such as acrylic, spray paint, and oil pastels.

My inspirations come from nature, animals, traveling, and my surroundings.

I take a sketchbook with me whenever I travel around; sketching is recording the moments of the time being there and capturing the area—after my sketchbooks and photographs create my impressions of the area or things I observed.

I have been experimenting with different materials such as wires, metals, and clay to incorporate my work, trying to create a fresh look.

I am a member of Cambridge Open Studios and regularly exhibit my works through it.
