About Svetlana Caikovska

My name is Svetlana Caikovska and I'm artist from Riga, Latvia. As an artist – I’m self-taught. I embarked on my painting career at the age of 39. An inextinguishable longing for painting in adulthood was not merely a personal whim, but the result of a powerful spiritual conception and vivification of the personality. I paint in the style of expressionism, employing the impasto technique in oil on canvas and using a palette knife. Main subjects of my works are flowers. And my works revolve around four key themes: flowers, still life, landscape, mood. My place of inspiration is my place of residence - Latvia. The nature of my country inspires and fills me with creative ideas, which are embodied in the bright strokes of my paintings. I firmly believe that creating art is a profound journey of self-discovery. I am continuously learning and improving my creativity, exploring new techniques and materials. My perpetual quest is to find my own unique way of expressing what excites me the most about painting. In 2015, I participated in the art project “THROUGH PINK GLASSES – EXHIBITION”, which marked the beginning of my professional journey as an artist. Since then, I have actively engaged in numerous exhibitions, aiming to share my art with a wide audience. Some of these exhibitions include: BALTIC BEAUTY EXHIBITION; RIGA ART FAIR ; Wings of Riga 2022 and 2023. I want ArtFinder to provide me with the opportunity to showcase my work to a vast audience of its clients, while also finding inspiration for further creativity.
