About Catherine Rive

 Catherine Rive lives and works in London UK. While studying for my MA in Barcelona Spain she developed a fascination for maps and the process of mapping. This became a significent interest within her work. Working with nature, I find maps in leaves, these echo the patterns on the palm of my hand the same can be found in branching systems in trees, rivers, how these external patterns echo the organs within. Guiding us to reflect on our own condition while reminding us we are connected. Connection with trees gives a hint of the larger patterns in life.
