    Painting "Singers on the Tyne"

    Painting "Singers on the Tyne"

    I have been working on this painting for a couple of days after I stumbled on a small boat get together on the river Tyne with a folk group entertaining the public during the event hence the title. Despite making a number of sketches and taking a couple of photos on my phone I found that I did not have sufficient information to progress with the work. The only solution was to take a trip back to the Tyne, Spent perhaps as much time talking to the public as I did painting but thought that was fun too.
