Have you ever noticed how so many winter landscapes seem to focus on the beauty of winter? How romantic they are? How they overwhelmingly evoke a sense of coziness, or nostalgia, or wonder? I have, and I can understand why people hang them on their walls. But this painting by Bozhena Fuchs takes me to a different level entirely. Yes, she captures the beauty of winter, but she doesn't shy away from exposing its underlying hostility. I'm not just talking about loneliness, silence, and solitude, but the sheer indifference that winter has for anyone who happens to be caught unprepared. I especially love the treatment of the heavy sky in this painting. And I love how the dark edge of what *might* be civilization is both a place of possible safety and warmth, and a place with its own potential for hostility. This painting makes me want to stand right in the middle of it, then leave quickly for friendly faces and warm drinks. Anyway, thank you, Bozhena, for your amazing art...it has captured me completely. This was the first painting purchased from Bozhena which definately exceeded expectations. The packaging and delivery were also excellent. Overall very pleased with the purchase and I would be keen to add further Bozhena paintings to the collection in the future.

This is my first painting from Bozhena and I absolutely love it. I was looking for something with brilliant colors and that would "pop" in my "soon to be rennovated" dark/masculine home office and the painting "Red Sunset" will be the perfect centerpiece. The color of the photos were very accurate but there is nothing compared to seeing the colors and textures of the painting itself. I was amazed at how quickly the painting was shipped and arrived here in Japan. It was wrapped and packaged very carefully and meticulously. I will definitely be adding more pieces in the future.

This is the third painting I have purchased Bozhena and was not disappointed. It’s a beautiful piece of art. The shipping is fast and packaged very well so that there is no damage. Everything had been ready to hang.
