About Bonnie Lambert

Since childhood, I’ve been mesmerized by spectacular sunsets and sunrises, the shock of skies during storms, late afternoon light stretching long shadows, fog blurring the world. These extreme conditions of light and nature sparked my young imagination. Thanks to this early influence, I’m now a cityscape oil painter in love with intense color and deep contrast. I’m drawn to the tension between nature and the hand-of-man in the urban landscape. My Los Angeles neighborhood and Southern California provide endless inspiration for my paintings.



I ask the viewer to see with fresh eyes surroundings that have become dulled or invisible to us; to see these places in a new light; and to consider that the every-day world around us is rich in meaning and beautiful.
