About BenWill

  • Biography
This self represented prolific artist is Internationally collected with over 2000 original paintings sold to private and public collectors worldwide. He has a wide range of works yet most are best described as following the traditions of Neo Expressionism infusing paintings derived from life and experiences.

BenWill : Professional Contemporary Abstract Artist : I could probably give you a list of things that inspire me. And, I could share all about my childhood, how I decided to become an artist, where I studied painting, and so on… The reality is that I really enjoy art. I always have. I create art because when you have a passion for doing something, you can’t help but do it. I can’t imagine not being an artist.

I am fortunate to be able to make a living doing what I love. Over the past ten years, I have sold over a thousand paintings to an amazing group of collectors found in every corner of the globe (Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and North America). My works are collected by galleries, businesses, designers, celebrities - a lot of great people who love art. Many of my collectors have become friends and I appreciate their consistent support. There are few moments better than when I sit at my computer, sipping that first cup of coffee, and read an email from a collector telling me how much they like their new painting.

Some have said my style is a combination of modern abstract expressionism and neo-impressionism. I’m not sure labels matter. What I do know: art is meant to have a meaning, make a statement – or, at least, to push away the blandness.

I believe in integrity. A few years ago, a collector told me, “Every day, I wake up and the first thing I see is your painting, and it makes me feel good.” I fully honor such statements from my collectors and know that buying works of art are meaningful decisions. Therefore, I put a lot of thought into creating paintings that are unique and have the highest level of excellence. The materials used are of the best quality. I often make my own solid-wood stretcher bars and hand stretch my canvas to ensure the work will last a lifetime.

    Enjoy!
