About Benjamin Eden

The urge to engage with nature through oil paint and oil pastels has come up in a way that I can't ignore over the past two years. Nature herself is the lifeblood of my paintings and these days I find it fairly futile to do any work without the trees, clouds, or waves right there in front of me. It’s truly a spiritual experience to paint from life, for any landscape painter, and over the coming years I want to capitalize on that by spending multiple sessions at individual locations, developing work that is more highly detailed, intricate, and full.
