About Asta Kulikauskaite Krivickiene

  • Biography
Visual art is my life-long passion, my never fading love.
I prefer to communicate through my paintings and drawings, colors and forms.

For me art is both a pathway to my inner world and a means to share my feelings, dreams, innate tendencies, fantasies and desires with the outside world.
In the creative process I first observe the unique world of images, sounds, forms and colors. The outer world, as manifested through music, surroundings, situations and encounters, is reflected in the abstracted form through my paintings.

Presently I find nature in all its forms, shapes and colors as the ultimate source of my inspiration. I try to convey through my paintings the ideas of immensity, beauty, serenity, mystery, light and darkness.
I experiment with a variety of techniques and artistic media, such as oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, Chinese ink and mixed media.
Right from when I was born I have always been surrounded by art and I started drawing and painting at a very young age.
I went to an arts school and later I graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania.
I have always felt privileged to be able to do what I love: to create paintings, printmaking artworks and illustrate books for children.

I have exhibited in group and solo shows in Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania and Poland. My art work is in numerous private collections around the world.
Art collectors purchased my artworks from all over the world: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Finland, Greece, Austria, France, Philippines, Hong Kong, Italy, Switzerland, Israel, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Belgium and Cyprus. Several artworks are in public collection of National Bibliotheque of Luxembourg.

In 2020 I received the Individual scholarship, LCC (Lithuanian Council for Culture).
I artist also offer private tuition and workshops.
