Istanbul based artist Daria Baklykova is a painter who explore the relationship between the fundamental principles of painting - color and composition. Using a sensitively reduced visual language, Daria distils the modern world and our interaction with it into quiet, concentrated scenes. Her works are part of contemporary minimalism. She tries to communicate ideas, feelings and emotions with as few elements as possible. She seeks to express deep ideas through flat colors in simple compositions.
