Biography
I live in the wild for long stretches of time. Inevitably I fall in empathy with wild animals. To me these beings are evidently sentient and I connect with that. To give shape and form to my thoughts and feelings I photograph. After all, setting down on a print what I feel about wild animals is in the tradition of the first cave paintings of 30,000 years ago.
So I photograph with renewed energy. I spend tons of time in the wild where it is very raw, very authentic and very beautiful. It’s me, the animals and what is pure and true.
To me, photography is prints on the wall, each print crafted with care. Through my prints, I would like to invite an audience to connect with the wild and hopefully enlarge their sympathies.
