About Antonio Perilli

  • Biography

Since he was a boy, his passion for art has been motivated by a strong inner need that has led him to continuously experiment with new techniques, new materials, new forms of expression. At first his paintings were figurative and reflected the emotions that nature aroused him. Through the material he tried to capture the different shades of light, to capture the vibrations of the environment, the energy that was typical of the place where he lived. He was born in a small town in Abruzzo, Italy, surrounded by nature. After graduating in Architecture, he moved to Milan, obtaining a diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, with full marks and honors. He still lives and works in Cinisello Balsamo, in the Milanese interland. Here he began his second period: figuration and abstraction compensate each other. Sign, gesture, color, light, are always the cornerstones of his art even in the third period, the most recent one. The experience of imitating nature has evolved into a process of research and experimentation on balance, harmony and light, both natural and artificial, with an abstract language. Its colors are usually bright, sunny and express emotional warmth that reaches the sensitivity of the observer.
