    I have been working on 4 large scale floral paintings for most of this year. I have just completed the first two. I have had so much fun working on these artworks, a continuation of the series which I started almost 20 years ago.

    Floral Paintings

    Floral Paintings

    I recently completed 2 floral artworks. I haven't painted flowers for some years, but when Spring came I had this overwhelming urge to create some abstracts exploring the growth and vitality of Spring. The other painting sold immediately and this 'Golden' painting is now available. Beautiful tones on natural linen it will make an amazing addition to your space.     Splash! Working on some large waves in the studio

    My 'Wave Series' is ongoing. I love exploring the movement and energy of the sea and I'm inspired while actually swimming and surfing on the waves. Each piece takes months to create, dripping and dabbing, building up layer after layer. This piece is called 'First Touch' the first splashes, just before the wave crashes and breaks.

    Working with my hands

    I rarely use brushes when I paint, preferring to use my hands and any other interesting objects that I can. Here I'm working on a large scale piece, part of a new series inspired by my connection with the ocean and the stormy seas I have encountered over Winter. A highly textured, layered piece taking months to create. It will be available soon.

    I moved into this beautiful studio 5 years ago. It is a large converted shed, full of colour and natural light. It has given me the opportunity and freedom to work on large scale works which is what I love.

    Moonlight On The Wave

    Moonlight On The Wave

    I really enjoy working on large scale paintings, it gives me the freedom I love. This piece is 200cm high and was inspired by glimpses of the moonlight as it touches the wave. There is a lot of texture and subtle detail. I find the Moon and the light it creates mesmerising and I'm often out roaming the coast at night for inspiration which shines through in a lot of the work that I do.

    Light Across The Waters

    I have been having a great time in the studio working on this piece inspired by the moonlight dancing across the beautiful inlet waters, where I live in Inverloch. It is very layered and textured piece taking months to create. I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you soon.

    Wave Series

    Wave Series

    I live in the beautiful small seaside town of Inverloch. It has the most amazing coastline, and I'm always swimming, surfing and exploring. 4 years ago I began a series of paintings, inspired while actually being in the water, enjoying the surf. My 'Wave' series is ongoing and highly regarded. It has been sought by many collectors through out Australia. I have just joined Artfinder and I'm really looking forward to being able to share my art outside of Australia. Thank you for having me Artfinder.
