About Anne-Marie Ellis

After leaving school and working at the prestigious Royal Crown Derby in their fine Porcelain department, Anne-Marie refined her painting techniques on intricate, detailed designs on China birds, figurines, dwarves and plates to name but a few. Upon leaving Royal Crown Derby for personal reasons, Anne Marie had little time to pursue her love of art but remained creative in many areas, starting her own floristry business, which successfully ran for almost 30 years. Now Anne-Marie finally has the time to dedicate herself to her primary passion; painting. Anne-Marie specialises in painting realistic landscapes and natural images, occasionally dabbling in the impressionistic style. She uses a variety of mediums to create her images, primarily using acrylic based paints but also enjoys creating art with pastels.  Living in a lovely rural country village in Derbyshire Anne-Marie finds inspiration in the beautiful surrounding countryside and in nature, wildlife etc which she reflects in her paintings.
