About Anna Pepe

  • Biography
Hello there, My name is Anna Pepe, I'm an artist living and working in Tbilisi, Georgia.

I work in the technique of painting and graphics. I'm a self-taught artist who gained all my knowledge during the practice, additionally educated in Italy and Belgium. I spent several years traveling the world, but eventually found my second home in Georgia.

The main theme of my works is the phenomenon of the female body. Depicting abstract objects and more explicit feminine images, I raise the question of the representation of bodily beauty and the essence of the nature of a woman - animalistic and at the same time divine. The main source of inspiration is not only physical, but also architectural forms, both ultra-modern and antique.

My art project has existed for several years already. At the beginning of 2022 , I found a spacious workshop and actively engaged in the creation of large works on canvas. The main clients of my project are collectors and interior designers from Europe, America and Canada. Also, my works can be seen in many popular places in Tbilisi.

Women who strike terror into any mortal or immortal. The first personifies the steady and calm action of fate, the second - its accidents, the third - inevitability. But what exactly does this archaic horror inspire: the inevitability of death or, perhaps, the unbridled nature of women?
