  • Biography
    My name is Anna Shabalova and I`m full-time and independent professional artist from Ukraine. In many of my works, you will find kind of surreal stories filled with positive imagery, vibrant colors, and unexpected details, in which my personal view of such a rich world around us is reflected. With the help of different images in my paintings, I conduct a dialogue with the audience, often touch upon important social topics, but I speak in positive key. That`s why customers like to participate in such dialogues so much. I consider myself a multi-dimensional artist as my primary painting style is surrealistic. Now I am currently working on several series of paintings at the same time, and also making prints from the originals of my works. Every day I look around me, and I find many subjects for my works. Often, nature inspires me: I like to take, as a basis for my paintings, the elements of flora and fauna, the images that seemed to us so familiar, and fill them with a completely different meaning! I know that I always have something to tell people, and with the help of my art, I create my own picture of the world. My artworks are found in private collections in the USA, Israel, Europe, and Ukraine. Among my works, customers will find that special painting that will perfectly decorate their interior. Member of the National Association of Artists and Sculptors of Ukraine.

    - What do you think, should people reveal the secrets of Christmas magic?! - I once asked my unusual interlocutor. - You mean all of humanity? - he answered with a question. And I thought ... It is hard to say, this world is not perfect and there are many good people and bad people in it. Perhaps not everyone should, because there will be those who want to use this magic for their own enrichment. He winked with a smile and answered: - True, but there is one small nuance. The whole trick is that we never hid it, I mean Christmas magic. It is both available to absolutely everyone and not available at the same time. Everything depends on the person himself, on the essence of his soul, through the prism of which everyone looks at the world.

    Event: "OTHER WORLD" 2022 - solo exhibition.

    Venue: "Euro-art" gallery, Ukraine, Rivne

    Could I have imagined that my first solo exhibition would take place during the war?! The question is rhetorical... But despite everything - life continues, and creativity, in the conditions of war, acquired a new powerful meaning. In the first months of the invasion, I felt that art was transformed into a panacea, not only for me, but also for everyone around me. Therefore, the decision not to cancel the exhibition, which was planned for 2020, was the only one. In this exhibition there will be no military-themed works, quite the opposite!
    "OTHER WORLD" was created with the aim of preserving the beauty with which our life is filled. It was full, it is and will definitely be after the victory!!!

    Event: "Art of a new caliber" (Russian-Ukrainian war, 2014-2022. Reflections) in "Euro-Art".

    Venue: "Euro-art" gallery, Ukraine, Rivne

    The anti-human, genocidal, cruel, terrorist stage of the Russian aggression caused a new burst of emotions in the artists, in which they visualize the civil position and faith in Victory.
