About Angeles M. Pomata

After more than a decade of clinical psychology private practice in Madrid, some years ago I moved to the National Park of Cabo de Gata on the south coast of Spain and started my career as a writer. The peculiar environment in my new home made me a self-taught painter, and over the years painting has become a professional activity. At first, using oil to capture the beautiful landscapes I enjoy watching every day, later employing new media, mainly watercolor, and broadening the range of subjects. I am not part of any specific art school or trend, and my aim in art is to capture and reflect the reality around me, while continually exploring other techniques and media that offer new possibilities of expression.
