Event: ‘Amy’ and ‘K-K-Kate’ life-size figures
Dates: 26 Sep 2013 - 28 Nov 2013
At this "outsider art" exhibition, you will meet ‘Amy’ and ‘K-K-Kate’.
These girls have been selected from a collection of 30 different “Hookers and Lookers” characters.
Lifesize works, I created each from a bag of plaster and then 'dressed', using layers of mirror mosaic, found objects, lead and glow paint.

Biography
Considered an‘outsider artist’, I explore my ideas through sculpture, using a variety of media.
Inspiration for my art comes from dreams, myths, intuition and adventures.
My work is mainly figurative with root influences from what I experience—–the pain and pleasure of life.
My aim is to create with passion and freedom, to tell stories from my life and others.
Examples of my work shown here on the Artfinder website, include those from a series called, “Hookers and Lookers”.
Each life-size work I create alone, starting with a bag of plaster.
The figure is then ‘dressed’, using layers of various materials, including mirror, found objects, lead and glow paint.
My creations are painstaking, with each sculpture taking many months to complete.
I visualize these works in perspex boxes, weatherproof, so they can live outside.
