About Andrew Zukerman

I have been working in the medium of collage for close to 20 years, in one way or another. My practice encompasses both visual and audio collage. I use a number of different sources - namely old periodicals, books on art history, anthropology, etc - which has rendered me a compulsive hoarder of scraps. My work habitually eschews the subject, but often hints at its own lineage by digesting art history itself. The fundamental goal of my work is to achieve a resonance with the past, the present and the future - to vibrate with the universal consciousness and glue down something that makes sense. I am not as ambitious in other parts of my life.
