Andrea Berni was born in Florence where he began his artistic training, feeling attracted to the world of sculpture he moved to Carrara where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts.
Here he opened his studio together with other artists where he deepens his research by experimenting with past and contemporary techniques.
In his continuous observation of the world and of the society that surrounds him, he concentrates on some aspects that he encloses in the series "Indifferents".
With this he highlights the study of sensations and the deepest human emotions. Individuals submerged by stimuli that they don't understand, dissociated from life resulting profoundly indifferent.
Beings with stolen souls; immobilized and imprisoned. Without hope or passion, strength or spirit.
Faces, bodies and emotions stolen by the passing of time, under a veil of resignation.
He also turns his gaze to the nature that surrounds him and to the deep relationship with the human being. Giving life to the "Natural Inspiration" series.
The beauty of nature, the simplicity of its lines and compositions.
The beauty of a ray of sunlight that strokes a surface making it luminous, warm.
Complex yet simple, in harmony and balance, full of shades of light and dark often barely perceptible they are so delicate, sometimes strong and defined.
Softness and rigidity generate a continuous and natural desire for observation, a never-ending source of curiosity and emotions.
