About Ana Kajaia

  • Biography
I’m Ana, a multidisciplinary artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. With a 13-year background in the art industry, I explore diverse artistic languages to convey my ideas and aspirations.
As a Georgian artist, I explore how the environments shape life's quality, focusing on home, domesticity, and familiar and distant spaces. My multidisciplinary practice reflects a search for stability, often examining human-less environments, evoking nostalgia and ambivalence. Home, a sanctuary, now inspires my creativity, probing its impact and utility. Themes of nostalgia and attachment recur, prompting a journey into the human psyche and self-exploration. I capture dreamscapes through painting, small-scale installations, and constructed photography, inviting viewers to reflect on their dreams and desires. My work bridges physical spaces with mental states, revealing subconscious messages through varied techniques and materials.
