About ANA ISABEL GARCIA RAMOS COSSIO

  • Biography

Ana Isabel García-Ramos Cossío is an abstract painter who grew up in Mexico city. She studied Graphic Design and worked many years as a graphic designer, but it was not until 2015 that she gave up her career and decided to pursue her dream of painting full time.

"For me, the painting is a passionate process for it is a constant challenge not letting the mind interfere. It is a profound introspection process that helps me understand the world from another perspective; it is a daily practice that requires trust and surrendering to the unknown. It allows me to enter into another realm: to my subconscious, to my real me, without any ego, judgement or prejudice. A place where, for a moment I leave behind the reason allowing sensations, colors, forms, experiences, energy and moods come to surface. It is an unknown world where you have access to an infinite range of possibilities for interpreting our exterior and interior world."
