Event: Art in Empty shops

CAFE is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in 2009 by arts providers within the borough of Erewash. The group was created as a means of supporting the development of culture and creativity in the area. It is supported by Erewash Borough Council Arts Development Team which provides administrative support for the group. CAFE has around 50 members, including visual artists, arts organisations, makers, writers, performers, curators and arts administrators living and working in Erewash.
rEvive are looking for Artists, Makers, Performers and Writers to be part of our Art in Empty Shop Scheme.
Run by CAFÉ( Culture and Arts Forum Erewash) to support and develop creativity in the area.
Biography
Allison is a Nottingham, English born Sculptor/Artist born in 1965.
She is based in her Community studio in Nottingham from where she teaches various classes and workshops. The workshops are inclusive, for people of all ages and abilities.
An international artist - Her main media is an environmentally friendly resin that is strong and weather resistant. From this media Allison has created many wonderful Angel, fairy and memorial/keepsake Sculptures.
Allison has recently completed a commission for a local school in which 160 children participated in an outdoor sculpture.
She is currently working on a commission for a local hospital.
Allison has a background working in mental health and remains close to her community working both at the studio in Stapleford and running regular workshops in the community at a local Hospice, She believes passionately that everyone has the ability to be creative.
