    One of the many aspects I love about printmaking is the beautiful purity of colour which oil based printmaking inks give to the artwork. And because of the transparency of the inks there are countless ways of layering colour upon colour so as to add texture and depth to the final image.

    This is me at work on the wonderful press I use to print my work on.

    This is me at work on the wonderful press I use to print my work on.

    This amazing piece of equipment is what I use to print my work on. It is a Columbian printing press, dating back to 1879. She's been nicknamed "The old lady" as she can be quite stiff depending on the weather being damp and can also be a little on the temperamental side. But she is always treated with the utmost respect.
