About Alisa Asatryan

  • Biography
My journey as an artist began in childhood, nurtured through years of formal training. I studied at an art school and honed my craft in the studio of the staggering painter Lyakh Leonid Petrovich, eventually graduating from the A. L. Stieglitz Academy of Art and Industry, specializing in Environmental Design. For many years, I worked in interior design, but in 2022, I experienced a profound realization: my true calling was in fine art, not merely as a hobby but as my professional path. Shortly before this, I moved to Armenia, where I felt as if I was breathing air rich with art, creativity, and craftsmanship. This environment sparked a creative awakening in me, filling me with a desire to convey my thoughts and emotions to the world through my art. I could no longer remain silent. My art explores the human condition, focusing on inner experiences, transformations, and our relationship with the world. Through my work, I aim to inspire others to seek unshakable strength within themselves. The world is ever-changing, but the most reliable support one can find is within. This message was at the heart of my first solo exhibition, "Looking into Silence," held in Yerevan from December 2023 to January 2024. Prior to this, I participated in several online events, with some of my works making the shortlist. In August 2024, I had the honor of having my work featured in the group exhibition "Art of Tomorrow" in St. Petersburg. I typically work with large canvases, ranging from 100 x 100 cm to 150 x 70 cm, though I also create smaller pieces like 50 x 50 cm. Currently, I am working on a series dedicated to the value of life as a gift, which will culminate in a personal exhibition-performance. I am also organizing a group exhibition focused on resilience and antifragility, themes that resonate deeply with me. Additionally, I am in the process of creating a series for metaphorical maps, which will also be showcased in a solo exhibition once completed. ArtFinder is a dynamic and rapidly growing platform, and I am inspired by the community of artists you have cultivated. I know some of them personally, and their experiences have only reinforced my desire to be part of this world. I believe that ArtFinder would be the perfect platform to share my work with a broader audience and to connect with like-minded individuals who value the transformative power of art. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to and growing within your vibrant artistic community.
