A fantastic opportunity to exhibit among a range of photographers in one of the most democratic exhibitions. All 60 photos are unnamed and priced identically, and this year viewers could buy numerous editions of the same print.
Event: Teach First Exhibition
Dates: 1 Dec 2014 - 20 Dec 2014
A great exhibition showing art from schools and Teach First staff. Money from the exhibition went to supporting Teach First’s work – Teach First is an educational charity working to end educational inequality. A wonderful chance to see a variety of pieces, from paintings and drawings to photographs and collages. It was a pleasure being part of such a great experience with so many lovely people.
Event: Peckham Open Exhibition
Dates: 29 Nov 2014 - 20 Dec 2014
A wonderful exhibition at Peckham Platform. In its fifth year, the Open combines a diverse selection of art from the community, with some fantastic pieces. The opening night was heaving; many curious visitors (helped by hot tea with rum) filling the place.
Event: Dulwich Artists' Open House
Dates: 10 May 2014 - 18 May 2014
Really enjoyed exhibiting at the Dulwich Open House Artists’ Festival again this year in Richard Watts’ beautiful pad. I’m was slightly more experimental in a couple of ways. First of all, I included some of my portrait drawings and paintings, and second, I exhibited my visual love letter to Dulwich.
Event: Well Hung Gallery
Dates: 1 Feb 2014 - 28 Feb 2014
I had a lovely time exhibiting at the Well Hung 2014 Photography Open exhibition in January – February 2014, at the Well Hung gallery at 239 Hoxton Street, London. The work of over 80 photographers were anonymised and printed in exactly the same way, meaning it was a very democratic and liberating experience. You could appreciate (and buy) the photographs – without the art bollocks!
Event: Dulwich Artists' Open House
Dates: 8 May 2013 - 18 May 2013
I was delighted with our exhibition last May and was very lucky to exhibit with Anna Jacobs, Dairo Vargas and Tom Denning. Thank you to all of those who came to have a look at our work – it was wonderful to see you and what a great first ever art exhibition!
Biography
Hello! I'm Alice.
I capture the joy and magnificence of mountains, in paint for you.
I strongly believe that being in the mountains makes us happier. The sense of awe at how stunning the mountains are; the feelings of peace and calm we experience; the perspective we gain when being up high in the mountain peaks - all these add up into something truly beautiful.
I try to capture those moments in paint to be able to share them with you. I want to bring the joy of the mountains inside our homes, so that everyone can experience those same feelings of happiness and contentment.
I am a ski racing, van-dwelling artist who tries to spend as much time as possible in the mountains. Ski racing down them with my blind husband, driving through them in my van with my husband and two cats, or painting them once I’ve come out of the snow - I’m in love
