About Alex Solodov

  • Biography
Alex Solodov’s work encapsulates the odyssey of an artist whose life and work have been shaped by the rich cultural tapestries of the regions he has inhabited. Trained at the prestigious Stroganov University of Arts in Moscow, now he is focused on abstract landscape painting and surreal digital art.

Artist's Philosophy: The artist's work is imbued with a profound reflection on human nature and power structures. His philosophy, which questions the autonomy of the individual in the face of imposed desires and manipulations by higher forces, is intertwined with his life experience in regions marked by conflict and political tensions. This critical perspective is reflected in his art, which serves as a mirror of the complexities and dualities of human existence. Throughout his life he has managed to capture historical and cultural moments that have brought to life the realities of multiple societies in times of conflict. The authenticity and depth of the artist's experiences, combined with his technical skill and philosophical vision, his work resonates with the universality of the human experience, echoing struggles and triumphs that transcend borders and eras. The artist's migratory journey is a tangible manifestation of his philosophical quest, a journey that reflects both the circumstances of a world in constant conflict and the depths of his introspection.

More than 200 of Alex's artwork has been featured in private, corporate collections and galleries around the world (including over 100 sold here at Artfinder) in United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Lithuania, USA, Austria, France, Denmark, Russia and Brazil.

The first part of our exhibition is an exposition concentrated on representing artists’ individuality and the main theme – modern woman in post industrial era.
Second part is a photo-video installation and live performance. As a start point we have an idea that humanity could be involved in another chain of evolution. The new human society probably can start not from monkeys, but possibly from cats….."
